Model answer:

Last summer I visited a small town near the Mediterranean with a friend from university. The town had an old castle and a colourful market. We visited the castle first, and the guide told us about the history of the area. History is much more interesting when you can see the places where events happened. After the visit, we had lunch in a family restaurant. The restaurant served the best pasta I had eaten that year. In the afternoon, we travelled by bus to a beach outside the town. The beach was quiet, and the water was incredibly clear.
