IELTS Speaking Test Part 2

Journey

Describe a journey you remember well. You should say:

  • how you travelled
  • where you went
  • what happened

and explain why the journey was memorable for you.

The examiner may ask one or two more questions when you have finished, for example:

  • Do you enjoy travelling?
  • Are you good at remembering things that happened a long time ago?

 

Life and daily routine

Describe a typical day in your life when you were in your early teens. You should say:

  • what you did
  • who you spent time with
  • how you felt about the things you had to do

and explain what was the best and worst part of the day for you.

The examiner may ask one or two more questions when you have finished, for example:

  • Do you like to have a routine to your day?
  • Do you like spending some time alone?

 

Possessions

Describe one of your possessions which you couldn’t live without. You should say:

  • what is is
  • why you first bought it / how you got it
  • when and how often you use it

and explain why it is so special.

The examiner may ask one or two more questions when you have finished, for example:

  • Do you throw things away when you don’t need them anymore?
  • Do you sometimes buy something and then regret it?

 

Decisions

Describe an important decision you had to make. You should say:

  • what you had to decide
  • what or who helped you decide
  • if you made the right decision

and explain why the decision was important.

The examiner may ask one or two more questions when you have finished, for example:

  • Are you good at making decisions?
  • Do you think you usually make the right decisions?
