IELTS Speaking Part 1, è una prova della durata di 4-5 minuti e prevede domande su argomenti di tutti giorni. Dovrai quindi parlare di vari aspetti della tua vita, come: la famiglia e gli amici, la casa, i tuoi studi o il lavoro, la tua città, le tue attività nel tempo libero ecc.
Le risposte dovranno essere appropriate alle domande e dovranno essere composte da una o due frasi.

  • Let’s talk about your studies (or your job).
  • Are you studying or do you have a job?

Studies

  • Where are you studying?
  • How many hours do you spend there in a week?
  • Tell me something about the place where you study.
  • What are your favourite subjects?

Work

  • What is your job?
  • How long have you been doing that job?
  • Which part of your job do you enjoy most? Why?
  • Tell me about the place where you work.

Questions about your home town

  • Let’s talk about your home town.
  • Where is your home town?
  • Can you describe the area you come from?
  • What facilities are there in your area for children/teenagers?
  • Is it a place where tourists go?

Travel/Transport

  • Now let’s talk about how you travel.
  • Do you travel alone or with friends?
  • What do you do during your journey?
  • Do you ever have any problems with your transport?
  • How could your journey be improved?

Music

  • Now let’s talk about music.
  • What kind of music do you like?
  • What do you like about it?
  • Are your friends interested in the same kind of music?
  • Where do you usually listen to music?
  • Do you ever go to concerts?
  • Do you play or would you like to play an instrument?
